Do you know how to help when someone is suffering from a Sudden Cardiac Arrest?

The Automated External Defibrillator (AED)  from Fresh & Clean is a portable electronic device that diagnoses life-threatening abnormal heart rhythms that can cause a Sudden Cardiac Arrest. An AED might be able to treat these abnormal heart rhythms by giving an electric shock to try to restart the heart’s normal rhythm. This is known as defibrillation.

If someone is having a cardiac arrest, they will not be conscious or breathing normally. They need immediate help by calling Triple Zero (000), starting CPR, and using a defibrillator (AED).

Why are Automated External Defibrillators (AED) important?

AED’s are important because they substantially increase the patient’s chance of survival during a cardiac episode. When a person suffers from sudden cardiac arrest, their chance of survival decreases by 7-10% for each minute that passes without intervention.AEDs can deliver a life-saving electric shock, which often means difference between life or death. Anyone can use a defibrillator and start CPR to try and save a life of someone in Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
